     Snuggle Up and Read Literacy Event

     * Thursday January 27

     * Organized by the Beam Team

     Current Extra-Curriculars

     * Intermediate Basketball begins tomorrow

     * Primary Intramurals – organized by Ms. Mills

     * STEM Video and Podcasting Club – organized by Ms. Lamanna

     * DND Club – organized by Mr. Fast

     * Choir – organized by Mr. Woelk

     

     Grade 8 Transition to WNSS begins on Thursday with course selections in the library.

     * WNSS Open House was moved to February 3, due to two snow days.

     Dance-a-thon March 8

     * Ideas for Council to do a Fundraiser, Treats? Glowsticks? Must be on School Cash

     Online. Katie to price out some options. Will communicate with the rest of

     council with ideas and prices.

     * Dave to price out options and send to Council for approval to spend funds

Celebration of the Arts Event

     * Early May, no set date yet

     * Victoria to send out ideas to Council on what we can contribute to the event

     * Call to Action for help from parents that can be put into the newsletter – include

        the date, times and what is expected

Grade 8 Grad

     * Booked for June 15

     * It was asked if the council do something at the school for the students.

     Ideas included a sundae bar, pizza party, or dance. Katie will

     reach out to the intermediate teachers to get their feedback.

Fundraising

     * Snack days. Katie to reach out to Sue for pricing on cookies and popcorn. Also reach out to the intermediate staff to secure students to help. Not Thursday. Katie will reach out to Dave and Jen to secure dates.
